About Us

Luo's lab focuses on research pertaining to 3D bioprinting, microfluidic biomanufacturing technology, organ-on-a-chip technology, and their applications in tissue engineering and regenerative medicine. Our aim is to integrate knowledge from basic medicine, materials science, mechanical engineering, and translational medicine to drive advancements in medical science, specifically targeting significant clinical issues. Our team comprises a multidisciplinary group of professors, associate professors, postdoctoral researchers, and both graduate and undergraduate students with diverse backgrounds in basic medicine, clinical medicine, materials science, biomedical engineering, and mechanical engineering.

To support our research endeavors, we benefit from the exceptional resources provided by the Orthopedics Institute of West China Hospital of Sichuan University and the State Key Laboratory of Biotherapy of Sichuan University. Additionally, our independent laboratory space located within the Life Science and Technology Park of West China Hospital of Sichuan University is equipped with specialized tools including custom 3D bioprinting systems, organ chips, microfluidic equipment, as well as microscopy, machining, molecular biology, and cell culture apparatus. These state-of-the-art facilities empower our team to conduct dynamic, fast-paced, and innovative research.
